Towpath Closure in New Hope at Water Works

*TRAIL CLOSURE* Mile Post 23.7 – **New Hope** – Union Mills Bridge (Water Works Condominiums) — The bridge over the Delaware Canal from River Road to Water Works has come to a state of disrepair, requiring the full closure of the bridge and the towpath underneath the bridge.  FOR PUBLIC SAFETY, under no circumstances shall pedestrians utilize the towpath underneath the bridge or the bridge itself. Destabilized debris could fall from the bridge. Please turn around at the closure and DO NOT attempt to get by it. The bridge and towpath will be closed until further notice.

Towpath Closure in Raubsville

**TOWPATH CLOSURE** Raubsville sub-canal culvert, Williams Township, Northampton County (MP 53.26) and the Canal Road Bridge(MP 53.4), north of the canal sub-culvert contruction) Towpath and access to the Canal Road Bridge are*closed*to all pedestrian  until further notice due to construction.  The purpose of this closure is for PUBLIC SAFETY.  Trail users should turn around at the closure and NOT attempt to get by it.

Towpath Closure in Upper Black Eddy

**TOWPATH CLOSURE** High Falls Creek sub-canal culvert, Bridgeton Township, Bucks County – MM 44.27 

Work is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of 12/23/24 at High Falls Creek sub-canal culvert (MP 44.27) which was damaged during tropical storm Ida. The towpath will be closed From MP 44.1 (Last house before High Falls Creek) to MP 44.5 (Mulligan’s Bridge) until the project is complete, the purpose of this closure is for PUBLIC SAFETY. Trail users should turn around at the closure and NOT attempt to get by it.

Bridge Closure – Williams Township

**Bridge Closure** Canal Road North bridge, Williams Township (MP 53.7) – will be closed to all traffic starting October 20th until further notice due to construction. The purpose of this closure is for PUBLIC*SAFETY* due to construction related activity.

Towpath Closure at High Falls Creek in Upper Black Eddy

TOWPATH CLOSURE*(Mile Post 44.27)*-The towpath will be closed at the High Falls Creek sub-canal culvert(MP 44.27) until further notice due to massive damage that occurred during tropical storm Ida. The purpose of this closure is for PUBLIC SAFETY. Trail users should turn around at the closure and NOT attempt to get by it.

Delaware Canal Towpath Closure Lumberville Aqueduct Pedestrian Bridge

September 10, 2021

TOWPATH CLOSURE (Mile Post 31.11).

In the area of Lumberville, the towpath is CLOSED at the Lumberville Aqueduct Pedestrian Bridge. The purpose of this closure is for PUBLIC SAFETY and will be in effect until the crossing can be made safe. Trail users should turn around at the closure and NOT attempt to get by it. The aqueduct and associated pedestrian crossing sustained significant damages during Tropical Storm Ida to include the loss of a structural pier beneath the aqueduct.
