Delaware Canal State Park and Historic Bristol
Join us as we celebrate National Trails Day on the towpath.
Two ways to learn canal history and get some exercise too.

National Trails Day Loop Bike Ride between Washington Crossing, PA and Washington Crossing, New Jersey.
Join us for a 7-mile round trip ride from the southern end of Washington Crossing Park to Scudders Falls Bridge with a return trip on the New Jersey canal trail. Pack a light lunch or grab a slice of pizza in Washington Crossing and enjoy a picnic in the park.
Meet in Washington Crossing Gateway Heritage Park located at 1201 General Stark Road, Wash Xing, PA
Note: Mountain bikes or hybrid bikes are strongly encouraged. Helmets are required.

National Trails Day Canal Walk in the historic borough of Bristol, PA.
Discover Bristol Borough’s rich canal history as we follow a series of interpretive signs from the Delaware River bank to the scenic Lagoon by the Grundy Mill.
Michael Ginder, Executive Director of the Friends of the Delaware Canal, will lead this 3-mile round-trip walk. On this tour, we’ll hear about the important role the Delaware Canal played in the development of the town as we learn about the Ring, the Basin, Locks 1,2 and 3, two unique bump bridges and more. Our route back to the river will be via Radcliffe Street, the loveliest street in Bristol.
Meet at the parking area at Bristol Riverfront Park located at Mill & Radcliffe Streets, Bristol, PA 19007
Registrations are required for the bike ride and the walk and are limited to 25 people per activity. A confirmation email will be sent prior to the event. A donation of $10 per attendee is gratefully accepted.
