Charming Hamlets and History – A Canal Walk in Upper Bucks County

8/10/2025 | 8:00 to 11:30 AM

Tinicum Park, 963 River Road, Erwinna, PA

Join us for a 4.7 mile walk on the towpath from the Homestead General Store in Upper Black Eddy to Tinicum Park in Erwinna.

covered bridge at uhlerstownThis quiet section of the towpath takes us past historic homes, eagle’s nests, a Locktender’s House, the Giving Pond and the charming hamlet of Uhlerstown.  It is a short but memorable adventure you don’t want to miss.

Our start time will be a bit earlier to avoid the heat of the afternoon and we encourage all to bring water to hydrate along the way.

We will meet at 8:00 AM at Tinicum Park and carpool walkers up to the Homestead General Store to begin our walk at 8:30 AM.
